Mallorca’s Most Beautiful Ride: Cap de Formentor by Bike

Come along for a stunning ride as I cycle from Pollença to Cap de Formentor and back – widely considered the most beautiful road in Mallorca, and one of the most iconic cycling routes in Europe. Starting in the charming town of Pollença, I make my way through twisty climbs, dense pine forests, and dramatic coastal cliffs, heading toward the legendary lighthouse at the tip of the Formentor Peninsula. Along the way, I stop at Mirador Es Colomer for postcard-perfect views of the cliffs plunging into the turquoise sea, and detour to Talaia d’Albercutx, a historic watchtower with sweeping 360° views over the Tramuntana mountains and the coastline. The road is full of hairpin bends, tunnels carved into the rock, and cheeky mountain goats watching from the sidelines. At the end lies Far de Formentor, the lighthouse perched above the sea, where the views are truly next level. After soaking it all in, I ride the route in reverse – just as scenic the second time around! Whether you’re a cyclist planning a trip to Mallorca or just here for the stunning views, this ride is a perfect mix of challenge, adventure, and Mediterranean magic.
